After testing cqp.exe within cmd.exe on the new Windows Terminal, I am fairly sure that this is part of a set of systematic crashes due to character encoding issues in the Windows console. When built  for Windows, and used alongside Terminal, , cwb 3.4.(latest) will solve at least some of these problems - allowing us to see what persists. So I'm going to close this bug.

On windows, a query such as "cist"%d crashes cqp.exe.

"xxxxx"%c works.
