1)   It does indeed get rid of the cwb-perl utility scripts. (https://sourceforge.net/p/cwb/code/HEAD/tree/perl/trunk/CWB/script/ )

2)   But cwb-describe-corpus isn‘t one of them- it’s part of the core.

If you remove CWB Perl, does that not eliminate utilities like cwb-describe-corpus and such?

One possibly useful note - you don't need the CWB Perl any more, CQPweb now uses an internal CEQL parser by default.

Dear list,
as promised some weeks ago, I have built a dockerized version of CQPweb:

https://github.com/rahonalab/CQPweb-docker

It automatically compiles the latest CWB binaries and installs the latest version of CQPweb; the build is based on R docker image, which provides a very basic R system.
I have tested the corpus installation and run a series of simple queries against dummy corpora: some, if not many, features may be still missing.
