[CWB] Corpus undefined error

OK, this sounds like a case of an old bug that I was never able to reproduce, but which I got multiple reports of, where some errors would cause the entire CWB index directory to be deleted. You need to have a look at the filesystem to see whether that’s the case. (Path is specified in config.inc.php)

If this is the problem, there’s no fix except to restore the directory from backup. If you don’t have backups then you need to delete and reinstall all broken corpora.

But before you do so I’d recommend upgrading to 3.2.42 which has better defensive measures against this bug.

best

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
This is an old corpus that worked until now. I think the MySQL indexes are broken, at least that was the problem last time round.
Best,
Graham.

Hi Graham,

Is TOWERS_BETA the new corpus you tried to install, or an old corpus you had installed previously?

Hello to all,
I've just tried to install a new corpus on my server with cwpweb 3.2.30. Everything has been running perfectly but... 1) the installation failed and 2) nothing now works; I get the following message with queries, for example: Corpus ``TOWERS_BETA'' is undefined
Any help on
1) what I have done to provoke this and
2) how I can set things back to rights
would be very, very much appreciated!
Best,
Graham.
