PS. I missed the followup questions.

>> If I upgrade to 3.3, should I also make available the latest core version of cwb tools?

Yes.

>> Should anything else be considered like regenerating the indexes?

That's not necessary.

You need to (a) update the code, (b) adjust the configuration file for changes in the available settings, (c) run the upgrade database script.

best

I never took the official step of flagging 3.3 as the stable version largely because of a couple of persistent, headache-inducing bugs in the "Distribution" system that I have not had time to deal with. (I've been very short on development time for the last 3 years I'm afraid.)

However, I've stopped updating 3.2 apart from critical and easily fixed bugs. So if you don't mind the occasional bug affecting complex Distribution calculations (simple Dist works fine), you should go for 3.3.

The only other consideration is the PHP version you need. Right now I've not started using the features of PHP 8.0 to 8.3 - but I do intend to. If your system is a long term support edition of your OS then you may be stuck on the now-unsupported PHP 7 - in which case, you probably should stick with 3.2.

Andrew.

Hi there,
I'm administering a CQPweb installation which is version v3.2.43.
Would it be advisable to upgrade to a newer version?
As per the documentation, this is the latest stable version. Is it worth to upgrade to 3.3? Which version would you recommend?
If I upgrade to 3.3, should I also make available the latest core version of cwb tools?
Should anything else be considered like regenerating the indexes?
Thank you in advance!
