Well that’s your problem … all the indexes were in there. Recreating the directory doesn’t make the indexes come back. You’ve deleted all your actual data; all that’s left is the records about the corpora, but no actual text.

Failure to install new corpora is probably because the recreated directory has the wrong read-write permissions for the web daemon user.

If I were in your position I’d be tempted to scrub all the corpus records completely, fix the permissions, and start over from scratch, actually. Probably quicker than trying to repair things manually.

best

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for following up.

It seems that we are now running into a larger issue (when trying to fix the alignment display problem). We accidentally removed the /data/cqpweb/data/data directory with the command rm -rf /data/cqpweb/data/data. (We then manually create a new ../data/data directory)

The current situation is that we can no longer query existing corpora, nor can we install new corpora. The error message is:

Is there anything we can do to recover or resolve this?

Best,
Qu Min

Hi Min,

Did fixing the s_id then fix the alignment display problem?

Hi everyone,

I believe I have found the root cause of the alignment issue: I realized I forgot to include the s attribute (s_id) when installing the corpora.

I believe I have declared the parallel alignment on CQPweb. However, when I conduct a query, it says no alignment found.

Hello,
Have your declared the parallel alignments, using the left hand menu? You didn't mention this, which is the final step, after the command line stuff!

Objet : [CWB] Corpora alignment issue on CQPweb

Dear CWB developers,

We have installed two separate corpora and added alignment using command-line CWB methods. However, when we conduct a query, the results still do not show any alignment.

I am not sure where I should look to identify and resolve this issue. Could you please provide some guidance on troubleshooting the CWB alignment process?

Thank you for your help.

Best,
Qu Min
