<p>The editline library is not included in the Win32 build because cmd.exe gives support for left-right-backspace, up-down history, copy paste and so on. HOWEVER, it does not give tab completion. It would be nice for the Windows version to have this.</p>
<p>Queries: is it possible to build editline using the mingw cross-compiler? </p>
<p>-- If YES, will it work under cmd.exe or not given it was designed for *nix? Will the editing of cmd and editline interfere with each other? What about the use of a history file - will it know where to put this? <br />
-- If NO, how could this function be simulated under Win32?</p>
