<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"">Recently, due to being Under New Management, SourceForge has cleaned up their act re: malware in downloadable files.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"">Unfortunately CWB was caught in their net, resulting in big red “WARNING MALWARE” labels all over our project page.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"">The cause for this is that two of the Windows binaries – cwb-atoi.exe and cwb-itoa.exe – for whatever reason trip the alarms on some (not all) antivirus systems; most likely
because they are such tiny programs.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"">This was a known problem, but not critical (since antivirus warnings can be overridden) until it started showing up in our SF.net store.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"">I’ve imposed a new policy to fix this swiftly: the atoi/itoa utilities will no longer be included in Windows binary releases. The code is still there, fo course, and if you
cross-compile it yourself, you will still get the exe for both. Of course they are non-essential and rarely used utils so I hope no one will miss them

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"">I have uploaded a new Windows binary bundle which no longer trips the malware detectors, and I have taken the otherwise step of scrubbing old builds which have the malware.
It seems to have worked, I can no longer see malware warnings anywhere on the project pages. BUT if you do see any, please do let me know!<o:p></o:p></span></p>

users may well wish to update in the near future. (Perhaps not immediately.)<o:p></o:p></span></p>
