Dear all,
there has been recently on this list an interest for self-installing
packages of CQPweb/CWB, with alternatives ranging from VirtualBox
images to bash scripts. Another alternative is Docker, an OS-level
virtualisation (meaning that, at least on Linux system, software run
on the OS kernel) available for Linux, Windows and Mac OS.
Last summer I put together a Docker image of CQPweb, which is based on
the official Docker image of R. Although it uses the latest version of
CQPweb and CWB, it is reasonably stable. I have recently updated this
image to encode a multilingual corpus we are preparing here in
Saarbrücken and extensively tested this solution on UTF-8 texts
aligned with cwb-align (also shipped in the Docker image).
You can find the image here:

(I am slowly getting rid of M$ github)
cheers,
Luigi
